NORTH TONAWANDA — A $40,000 fundraising campaign has been launched to save the Allan Herschell Carrousel at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum.

According to the GiveGab.com campaign, the 100-year-old carrousel is in need of “major repairs so we can all enjoy riding it once again. Over the winter, two major parts cracked and must be replaced before the carrousel can operate.”

The campaign offers gifts for donations, from a pair of tokens for a $10 donation to a lifetime museum membership for $1,000.

As of this morning, $4,947 has been raised of the $40,000 goal.
