LANCASTER — A 27-year-old Lancaster man was charged early this morning with felony driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Transit Road.

According to New York State Police, Matthew R. Meier was determined to be intoxicated during the traffic stop and found to have a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years, resulting in the felony charge. Meiers blood alcohol content was found to be .13 percent.

He was released following processing and ordered to appear at a later date in Town of Lancaster court.
