JAMESTOWN —  An underage drinking initiative for Saint Patrick’s Day led to charges for three who sold alcohol to underage purchasers.

According to New York State Police, the initiative saw underage volunteers under the supervision of NYSP attempt to purchase alcohol at various retail locations throughout the Southierntier.  If the volunteers were successful, the cashiers were placed under arrest for selling alcohol to a minor.  A total of nine businesses were investigated, three of which resulted in arrests.  The arrests are as follows:

Robert Noe at Noe’s Place on Second Street in Jamestown
Colleen Travis at Allen Street Grocery & Deli in Jamestown
Nichole Hinson at 7-Eleven on North Main Street in Jamestown

All suspects were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the City of Jamestown Court on a later date.
