On December 28, 2021, SP Amity Troopers arrested Kenneth L Conners, 28 of Dallas, Texas for Operating A Motor Vehicle While Impaired By Drugs and Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance in the seventh degree. Also arrested was Haley M Button, 23 of Bolivar for Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance in the seventh degree and an outstanding arrest warrant from the village of Wellsville Police.
SP Amity Troopers stopped a vehicle on State Route 19 in the town of Angelica for Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. They determined that Conners was operating a motor vehicle. They observed that Conners had red, bloodshot, glossy eyes, impaired slow speech, and poor motor coordination. Conners admitted to using marihuana prior to operating the vehicle. Troopers conducted a battery of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which indicated that Conners was impaired. Conners and passenger, Button, were found to be in possession of crystallized methamphetamine. Button was wanted by the village of Wellsville Police Department for Attempted Murder. Conners and Button were arrested and transported to SP Amity for processing.
Conners and Button were issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Angelica court, where they are to appear in January 2022. Button was turned over to the village of Wellsville Police Department.
