The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced on Thursday that all senior men’s basketball players have been named to the 2020 Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s Basketball All-Tournament Team.
 
Seniors Corey BrownMalik Johnson and Dantai St. Louis were all named to the league’s all-tournament team to represent the Golden Griffins.
 
Brown played in all 32 games in his one season with the program, and he made 19 starts. Just the third graduate transfer in program history, the Hollywood, Fla., native was good for 4.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting 50.4 percent from the field. He closed out his collegiate career by scoring a season-high 16 points against Iona in the 2020 Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s Basketball Tournament opening round, and he had a season-high 10 boards in the Griffs’ Senior Night win over Niagara March 6. He is currently working toward completely his master’s degree in sport administration at Canisius.
 
The program’s career leader in career starts (131) and career assists (644), Johnson closed out this playing career on Main Street as the only player in school history to score more than 1,000 points, grab more than 500 rebounds, dish out more than 500 assists and earn more than 200 steals. The Richmond, Va., native posted 1,098 career points, which ranks him 28th in school history, and he hold the honor of being just the third three-year team captain in the program’s 116-year history. Johnson earned his undergraduate degree in sport administration last December, and is on track to complete earn his master’s degree in sport administration this May.
 
St. Louis played in 84 career games over four seasons, and he made seven starts – all of which came in the 2019-20 campaign. He had a career-high 10 points in the team’s loss to Memphis in the 2018 AdvoCare Invitational in Orlando, Fla., and followed that effort with a career-high seven rebounds in a road game at St. Bonaventure during his junior season. The Brampton, Ontario native will earn his undergraduate degree in criminal justice and psychology in May.
