A 54-year-old Warsaw man was charged with DWAI and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana on August 6, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.
On August 6, 2018, SP Warsaw Troopers arrested Scott P Carmichael, 54, of Warsaw, NY for DWAI-Drugs, UPM and several traffic infractions.
According to New York State Troopers, during a traffic stop for several VTL violations on NY State Route 39 in the town of Castile, Troopers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from Scott P. Carmichael’s vehicle. Trooper administered SFST’s and Carmichael was taken to SP Warsaw for an evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). Carmichael was processed and arraigned in the Town of Castile court.
Carmichael was remanded to Wyoming County Jail without bail. He is due to return to the Town of Castile court on 08/27/18.
