BUFFALO — Music lovers from around Western New York will gather at the North Park Theatre on Friday to get through this thing called life — and celebrate the life of Prince, who died Thursday at age 57.
The theater will offer a big screen presentation of Purple Rain, which many consider to be one of the greatest music films ever.
Tickets for the 9:30 p.m. show are $7 per person, available online at https://goo.gl/tveo0Y
A portion of the ticket proceeds will go to Music Is Art, a community based non-profit founded by “Goo Goo Dolls member and all-around awesome citizen Robby Takac,” according to the North Park Theatre’s Facebook page.
There will be posters available and “a medley of music videos to warm up the crowd. If you want to sing along, no one will stop you.”
