BUFFALO — Mats Zuccarello led the New York Rangers Tuesday night, scoring a goal and two assists as his team won 4-2 over the Buffalo Sabres at First Niagara Center.

Derick Brassard netted the first goal for New York, a power play goal scored at 7:30 of the first period. Zuccarello assisted, as did Keith Yandle.

In the second period, Zuccarello notched his 22nd of the season at 4:38, assisted by Derek Stepan. New York then made it 3-0 at 6:05 with a Jesper Fast goal, assisted by Brassard and Kevin Klein. Sam Reinhart got Buffalo on the board with his 19th of the season, assisted by Jack Eichel and Chad Johnson. Johan Larsson then pulled the Sabres to within one at 16:10. Brian Gionta and Zach Bogosian assisted.

Down 3-2, the Sabres pulled netminder Robin Lehner, who replaced Chad Johnson following the Rangers third goal. With the empty net, J.T. Miller scored for New York for the 4-2 victory. Zuccarello assisted again.

The Sabres next play the Montreal Canadiens Thursday in Montreal.
