LOCKPORT — Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced that Christopher L. Jordan, age 47, of Wilson, has been charged with Corrupting the Government in the Third Degree, a class D felony; Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; and Official Misconduct, a misdemeanor.

The charges are the result of an investigation conducted by the District Attorney’s Office into conduct while Jordan served as the Building Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Wilson. Jordan was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Part and released on his own recognizance. None of the charges qualified for bail under New York State’s bail reform laws. Jordan was given a further appearance date of May 25th in Wilson Town Court.

A charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
