TROY — Students recently completed the requirements for graduation from their academic degree or certificate programs at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. The college’s Class of 2019, which also includes students who completed their degree requirements in Fall 2018, encompasses students from around the Capital Region and around the globe, graduating from more than 80 degree or certificate programs.
Local students include:
- Amanda Barone of Amherst who completed studies in the Criminal Justice academic program.
- Kelsey Bartus of Orchard Park who completed studies in the Mortuary Science academic program.
- Miancer Crockett of Buffalo who completed studies in the Entrepreneurship academic program.
- Evan Busby of Almond who completed studies in the Computer Information Systems Web Design & Programming academic program.
- Rebecca Pinckney of Brockport who completed studies in the Health Information Management and Technology academic program.
- Jennifer Sled of Lockport who completed studies in the Dental Assisting academic program.
- Dayquan White of Buffalo who completed studies in the Dental Assisting academic program.
The 65th Commencement ceremony was held Saturday, May 17, in the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on the Hudson Valley campus.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 11,500 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
