NIAGARA FALLS — A 35-year-old Niagara Falls woman has been charged with welfare fraud, accused of filing false claims over a three year period.

According to Niagara County Sheriff Jim Voutour, Christina M. LaDuca was charged following an investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Welfare Fraud Unit and Niagara County Department of Social Services.. Her charges include fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree offering a false instrument for filing, fourth-degree welfare fraud, and three counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.

She was released on appearance tickets and given a return court date of Aug. 17 in Niagara Falls City Court.
