LOCKPORT — Police have given the all-clear surrounding the Niagara County Courthouse and told area residents they no longer need to shelter in place.
Traffic had been shut down in the streets surrounding the courthouse and the building was evacuated around 2:30 p.m. when a bomb threat was received in the building.
Bomb sniffing dogs from Erie and Niagara County Sheriff’s offices searched the building, but found nothing.
Officials had long-since closed the building for the day, however.
Normal operations will return on Monday.
