The Toronto Blue Jays announced that injured outfielder Ezequiel Carrera will join the Bisons on an MLB injury rehab assignment on Friday.

The Bisons are in the midst of a nine-game homestand at Coca-Cola Field. The Herd will host the Pawtucket Red Sox for a fridaynightbash!, presented by Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino at 7:05 p.m. Friday that will include a Flying Bison Happy Hour at 5 p.m. and postgame fireworks. The Herd is also home at 7:05 p.m. Saturday for Seinfeld Night and 1:05 p.m. Sunday for a Kids Club Sunday with postgame Kids Run the Bases.

Carrera has spent the entire 2016 season with Toronto and has averaged .258 with four home runs and 15 RBI in 58 games with the Blue Jays. He was placed on the disabled list on August 1 with a left Achilles strain. The outfielder split last season between Toronto and Buffalo, playing 31 games for the Herd and hitting .276 with 10 RBI and six stolen bases.
