The festival, held at Academy Park tonight, Saturday and Sunday, is expected to draw more than 30,000 people to the village over the three days to partake in a full slate of activities — and of course the peaches, which are again this year provided by Bittner-Singer Farms in Appleton. The festival expects to serve more than 13,000 pounds of the locally harvested peaches on top of fresh shortcake from DiCamillo Bakery.
If for some reason peaches isn’t your thing, there will be nearly two dozen food vendors serving juts about everything else.
After you eat — or maybe before is a better idea — you can partake in 44 thrill rides. There are also “family” and kiddie rides available, making the Peach Festival the largest midway in Niagara County.
Other highlights include a 5K run, parade, Peach Blossom, Peach Fuzz and Peach Queen contests, a dance showcase, a taste-off, and a peach shortcake eating contest.
