
Rodney George Stroyan, 89, of Barker died January 22, surrounded by loving family and caregivers.
He was born May 11, 1927, in Lyndonville. He was the son of the late Donald and Loie Landers Stroyan. He was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Mildred Ball Stroyan, his brothers, Hubert and Homer and a granddaughter, Shari Fitts. He is survived by his daughter, Donna (James) Fitts; his son, Daniel (Rose) and his son James (Paula. He is also survived by his grandchildren Julia, Sarah, Melinda, Brandon and Jaimie as well as many great grandchildren.
He was a member and past Grand master of the Somerset Lodge 639 F & A M. He was a master carpenter and belonged to Carpenters Local 280. He was a long time member of Barker Faith United Methodist church.
Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1708 Pallister Ave. Barker, NY on THURSDAY from 3-7PM. A funeral service will be held at 12 NOON on FRIDAY at Faith United Methodist Church 1449 Quaker Rd. Barker, NY. Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at church immediately following the graveside service.
