“Last year, almost 3,000 participants joined us for an unforgettable 5K,” said Color Me Rad co-founder John Malfatto. “We are excited to bring the color back to Darien Lake so more people can join the fun.”
Rad runners start in sparkling white t-shirts and cross the finish line as an almost unrecognizable rainbow of color. Throughout the 5K course, racers experience eight color stations with vibrant gel and powder. Racers can then revel in their achievements and make more memories with friends and family at the finish festival.
“The finish festival includes giveaways, food, music and an unforgettable final color throw!” said Color Me Rad spokesman Maxwell Christian. “The last color throw is pretty impressive. I think our rad racers love it because it is a culmination of the colorful day they had.”
Registration for Color Me Rad is now open. Each race registration comes with a race bib, t-shirt, temporary tattoo, and some RAD sunglasses. Participants are encouraged to sign up at https://buffalo-color-me-rad.eventbrite.com before Friday to take advantage of the current rate.
