BUFFALO — The University at Buffalo men’s basketball game against Akron originally scheduled for Feb. 25 has been moved to Friday, February 24 at 8:00pm and it will air nationally on CBS Sports Network.  The Division of Athletics will be holding a special blackout promotion for the game.

A rematch of last year’s MAC Championship game, Akron defeated Buffalo in a thriller on the road, 91-90, on Jan. 28.  Lately, the Bulls and Zips have been two of the hottest teams in the league.  The Bulls have won four straight following yesterday’s 88-74 win at Bowling Green.  Akron is 21-4 on the year and 11-1 in league play following their win at Eastern Michigan on Friday night.

The women’s basketball game against Bowling Green on Saturday Feb. 25 will remain at 1:00 pm and it will be senior day for the Bulls as they honor senior JoAnna Smith.

For fans that already have tickets to the doubleheader, they will have access to both the men’s game on Friday night and the women’s game on Saturday afternoon.  If you are planning on attending both games, you will receive a separate ticket for the women’s game in the lobby during the men’s game.

For additional questions or to purchase tickets to either game, you can visit the UB Ticket Office or call them at 1-877-UB-THERE.

The Bulls return to action on Tuesday night when they face Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant.  The game will air nationally on American Sports Network at 7 p.m.
