TAYLOR – Dr. Henry Theodore Of Amherst, entered into rest July 2, 2017, beloved husband of 69 years to Marilou (nee Gaunder) Taylor; devoted father of Lawrence (Mary) Taylor, DDS, Timothy Taylor, Mark Taylor, Pamela (Eric Lamont) Taylor and Terese Taylor; cherished grandfather of seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Adam and Marian Taylor; predeceased by four siblings; also survived by relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan on Thursday from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph University Church, 3269 Main St., Buffalo, on Friday morning at 10 o’clock. (Please assemble at church). Entombment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Henry served in the Ninth Air Force during World War II and received a Jubilee of Liberty Reward to commemorate his service during the Normandy Invasion. He obtained a Masters of Science in Education from SUNY-Buffalo in 1968 and his Doctor of Philosophy from UCONN in 1973. He was a devoted teacher at Burgard High School for 34 years. He extended himself into the Buffalo Community as a teacher at St. Mary’s School for the Deaf, a Boy Scout Master and a Driving Safety Educator. He was a devoted family man and husband. Henry often gathered family and friends at his farmland in Sherman, NY. He was also a published author.
