AMHERST TIMES

The words, “I think that’s the most ridiculous decision the Town Board has ever issued,” usually come out of the mouth of Amherst residents who were reacting to another Amherst Town board ruling in favor of developers.  That actually happens over 95% of the time.

But wait!  These words were uttered by Jeffery D. Palumbo, one of the best attorneys who represents different developers.  This time he is representing a company called Core Spaces and he was reacting to our Town Board saying “NO” to a developer!
Core Spaces wants to build a 154-unit complex off North Forest road near the Bryant Woods South office park.

The people of this office park know the value of their property will go down, and accidents will increase.  Conflict which wasn’t there before, will occur because having a college dorm in this business park isn’t what the people who started the business expected, want or need.
There is plenty of land in the area which would not impinge on other developments.  The Town Board made the right call concerning this development.
