UB ATHLETICS

BUFFALO — Student-athletes from the University at Buffalo took part in the 2017 Million Father Match late last week.  The Million Father March is held in 600 cities across the United State on the first day of school.

Members of the UB football and track and field teams attended the event at the Aloma Johnson Charter School in the City of Buffalo on Friday afternoon.

Created by The Black Star Project, the goal is to inspire fathers, families and communities to more effectively engage in their children’s education.  One million fathers are expected to participate this year.  Since the inception of the Million Father March 13 years ago, first-day attendance and parental engagement in some districts has risen dramatically.
