NIAGARA UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS

The Niagara Purple Eagles continue their conference road-opening weekend at the Marist Red Foxes on Sunday, January 7 at 2 p.m.

The Purple Eagles began 2018 on a winning note, defeating the Siena Saints 84-76 for their first MAAC win of the season. Niagara’s 8-8 record is its best record through 16 games since the 2012-13 season (8-8). NU has won four straight road games for its longest streak since the 2012-13 season, and has not won five straight on the road since 2008-09 season.

The Purple Eagles will be looking to win their first two conference road games for the first time since the 2008-09 season. The last seven meetings with Marist have been decided by less than six points. The Purple Eagles have won once in their last four trips to the McCann Center.
