BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State scored early and often and sprinted to a 22-5 victory over visiting Elmira in a non-conference contest this evening at Coyer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Christina Krowel (Amsterdam/B.H.-B.L.) led the Bengals’ attack with nine points on six goals and three assists.
- Ally Ruggieri (Brockport/Brockport) tallied five goals and two assists, and Morgan Hogue (Painted Post/Corning) had three goals and an assist.
- Nina Schaefer (Lafayette/Lafayette) chipped in three goals as well, and Jackie Dufresne (Lake View/Frontier) scored twice, while Alanna Herne (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) and Kendall Skuse(Churchville/Churchville-Chili) netted a goal apiece.
- Krowel opened the scoring just 16 seconds into the game and Buffalo State raced out to an early 6-0 lead.
- The Soaring Eagles fought back with three of the next four goals, but the Bengals scored six-straight to close the half with a 13-3 advantage.
- Elmira cut into the deficit at 14-5 early in the second half, but Buffalo State pulled away with the game’s final eight goals.
- Elyse Stark (Lido Beach/Long Beach) needed to make just six saves in the win.
- Buffalo State outshot Elmira 33-12 for the game and forced 27 turnovers while committing 17.
FOR THE FOES
- Kyra McDonald led Elmira with three goals, and Hayley Baker scored twice and had an assist.
