LEWISTON — Lewiston Police along with many other agencies are dealing with a situation on Plain Street and are asking all residents to take shelter inside for the following areas – Plain Street, Niagara Street, and Cayuga Street from Niagara to 4th.
All other residents please avoid the area.
UPDATE (11:04 a.m.): Police say the incident involves someone who has barricaded themselves in a home on the 400 block of Plain Street.
UPDATE (11:34 a.m.): The incident reportedly started shortly before 8 a.m. when police received a 911 hangup call from the home in question.
