NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Niagara baseball team travels to Poughkeepsie to face off against the Marist Red Foxes. The teams will play a single game on Friday, April 13 starting at 3:00 p.m. and a doubleheader on Saturday, April 14 starting at 12:00 p.m.


Last Time Out
  • The Purple Eagles swept a doubleheader against St. Bonaventure on April 10. Niagara took the first game, 9-3, and the second game, 10-1.

On the Field: Niagara Purple Eagles
  • Greg Cullen leads the Purple Eagles, the MAAC and the NCAA with a .479 batting average and 1.88 hits per game. He has a team-high 45 hits and three homeruns and has also recorded 18 RBIs. Cullen leads the MAAC in slugging percentage (.681) and on-base percentage (.538).
  • Trevor McCauley and Cullen lead the MAAC in runs scored with 25 each.
  • Owen Dziados leads the Purple Eagles in RBIs with 23.
  • Julian Gallup is a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases.
  • On the mound, Cody Eckerson (1-3) leads the Purple Eagle pitching staff with 43 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched. He is fifth in the MAAC in strikeouts.

On the Field: Marist Red Foxes
  • Greg Kocinski leads the Red Foxes in hits with 31 and runs scored with 20.
  • Anthony Lazar has a .344 batting average, which ranks 8th in the MAAC.
  • On the mound, Tony Romanelli (1-4) leads the Marist starting pitching staff in strikeouts with 31. He also leads all Red Foxes starters with a 4.46 ERA.
