ONEONTA, N.Y. — Elyse Stark (Lido Beach/Long Beach) finished with a career-high 20 saves, but it was not enough as Oneonta outscored the Bengals 5-1 in the second half to post a 12-5 win in SUNYAC action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Christina Krowel (Amseterdam/B.H.-B.L.) paced the Bengals with a pair of goals, while Morgan Hogue (Painted Post/Corning) finished with a goal and an assist.
- Ally Ruggieri (Brockport/Brockport) and Jackie Dufresne (Lake View/Frontier) each added a goal for the Bengals.
- Kendall Skuse (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) chipped in an assist.
- Oneonta scored six of the first eight goals of the game to take a 6-2 lead with 15:20 left in the first half.
- Buffalo State responded with back-to-back goals from Ruggieri and Krowel to trim the lead to 6-4 with 7:44 remaining in the frame.
- The Red Dragons tacked on a final goal to take a 7-4 advantage at the break.
- Following an early goal by Oneonta to open the second half, Krowel capped off the Bengals scoring with an unassisted goal with 20:13 left in the frame.
- Oneonta went on to score four unanswered goals to close out the win.
- The Red Dragons held a 40-20 advantage in shots and caused 29 Buffalo State turnovers in the contest.
- The Bengals finished with a 14-5 advantage in draw controls.
FOR THE FOES
- Sophia Calabrese led the Red Dragons with five goals on six shots.
