Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski today said a computer malfunction in the state system is preventing the Lockport Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office from processing driver’s licenses applications and renewals. Jastrzemski said the camera that ties into the state system is not working and is not expected to be back up until Tuesday.
Jastrzemski said the Lockport office is open to conduct other business. Those who need to process a driver’s license immediately can go to DMV offices in North Tonawanda or Niagara Falls.
“We are working hard with state officials to bring the camera system in Lockport back up and apologize for the inconvenience,” said Jastrzemski.
