Two 26-year-old residents of Allegany, P.A. were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance on September 13, 2018 following a search of a disabled vehicle.

According to New York State Troopers, during an investigation of an apparently disabled vehicle on I-86 eastbound in the town of Cold Spring, officers observed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle operated by Seth R. Sharp in which Ryan P. Johnston was a passenger. Both also appeared to be under the influence of drugs. During a subsequent vehicle search, Troopers located a quantity of methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Sharp and Johnston were arrested and arraigned in Allegany Town Court. Sharp was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail, and Johnston was remanded on $500 bail.
