Hello Metalheads! This is John back with another album review. This time I bring to you Glorious Depravity and their new album Death Never Sleeps. They released their latest effort on November 7th, 2025 via Transcending Obscurity Records who have had so many good releases over the last number of years including this one!
Glorious Depravity are yet another band I found from the death metal sharing page on Facebook. Someone I really trust with pretty much all releases posted so I knew I had to check this out. The band has some great riffs and tracks that are just brutal at all times. The tempos may vary, but damn I find myself head banging at pretty much every moment of this album.
The production on this album is very nice! The whole album has this old school death metal vibe, but with production just a little polished to the absolute right level. The guitars and bass work is steady and great throughout the entire album. The bass isn’t as punchy as some bands out there, but there are some moments like Fleshkills Poltergeist that it shines through. There is a section where the guitars play this pinched section where the bass is very present and sounds great! The drumming matches on every track and the vocals are super brutal. Mainly low growl type vocals and high shrieks are used as great accent!
Overall I’d say Glorious Depravity gave us one hell of a sophomore album. Death Never Sleep gets a very solid 8/10 in my rating scale and will be in rotation for a while. As always stream, follow and even buy from this band if you like them like I do! Links will be below!
