There is a chill in the air and soon the holiday spirit will be on full display with the annual tree lighting celebrations at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino on Tuesday, December 2 and Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino on, Wednesday, December 3. Both family-friendly events are free and the public is invited to attend!

This year brings something special to both celebrations. For the first time, guests can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides from 4–7 p.m. with a donation of a non-perishable food item. The rides will add a warm, nostalgic touch to the festivities and offer families a memorable start to the evening.

“Lighting the tree has become a special tradition for us and a meaningful part of how we celebrate with the entire community,” said Seneca Resorts & Casinos President & CEO Kevin Nephew. “Seeing the tree light up, with everyone around smiling, hearing the carols, you can’t help but smile. That’s the magic of the holiday season and why we look forward to this celebration every year.”

To lend a helping hand to those in need this holiday season, the food donations from Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will support the Heart, Love & Soul food pantry in Niagara Falls, and the donations collected at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino will support the Seneca Nation Tribal Advocate Program.

The tree lighting will take place at approximately 5:30 p.m. each night. In addition, Santa and Mrs. Claus and other special guests will be on-hand, keeping track of who is being naughty and nice. The Rockettes will kick the festivities into high gear with amazing dance performances and holiday carols and other special entertainment will make spirits bright. As a special treat the culinary teams at Seneca Niagara and Seneca Allegany will provide complimentary cookies, hot chocolate and coffee to keep everyone warm throughout the celebration.
