
On Oct. 24, 2025, at approximately 6:20 p.m., the Town of Tonawanda Police Department responded to Danbury Lane in the Town of Tonawanda after reports of a man trespassing through backyards and trying to burglarize homes.
Town of Tonawanda Police Officers located the suspect, 24-year-old Brendan G. McAndrew Jr., of the Village of Kenmore, nearby. According to police, McAndrew was found to be in possession of several stolen credit cards, metal knuckles, pepper spray, latex gloves, a flashlight and illegally possessed narcotics along with a hypodermic instrument.
McAndrew was taking into custody and charged with: Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, a class E felony; Possession of Burglar’s Tools, a class A misdemeanor; Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, a class A misdemeanor; two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a class A misdemeanor; Trespass, a violation; and Possession of a Controlled Substance by Ultimate Users Original Container, a violation.
McAndrew was arraigned on Oct. 25, 2025 in the Town of Tonawanda Court before Judge J. Mark Gruber and released on his own recognizance.
