LEWISTON — Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti announces the arrest of 28 year old Allyson V. Roberts of Niagara Falls, under the Leandra’s Law statute.

On August 30, 2025 at approximately 1930 hours, the Niagara County Communications Center received a call reporting a possibly intoxicated female driving a black GMC Yukon westbound on Saunders Settlement Road with a child in the backseat.

Deputy T. Stickney located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in front of 2263 Saunders Settlement Road. The driver was identified as Roberts and a young child was observed in a car seat in the vehicle. After Standard Field Sobriety Testing was conducted, Roberts was determined to be intoxicated. Roberts was transported to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office for a chemical breath test. Roberts was determined to have a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .10%.

Roberts is charged with Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law (E Felony), Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), Operating a Motor Vehicle with .08 of 1% or more of Alcohol (Misdemeanor), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Misdemeanor). The 3 year old child was turned over to a family member. Roberts was held at the Niagara County Jail for Centralized Arraignment. ###
