WHEATFIELD – On August 8, 2025, at approximately 1049 hours, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Communication Center received a 911 call that reported an unresponsive male stuck under an agricultural rotary cutter. Family members arrived on scene and removed the male from under the machine.
Deputies arrived shortly after and took over life saving measures until they were relieved by Fire and EMS personnel. Ultimately, the male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name of the party involved is being withheld at this time pending notification of the family.
The incident will continue to be investigated by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau.
