A single by Grant Moore in the bottom of the ninth inning scored a pair of run for the Niagara Falls Americans, giving them victory over the Batavia Muckdogs at Sal Maglie Stadium on Tuesday.

The Americans struck first in the game, taking a 1-0 lead when Greydon Miller scored on a Christopher Guzaldo sacrifice fly to center field.

The Muckdogs took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning, extending it to 3-1 an inning later. And that’s where the scored stayed until the bottom of the ninth.

Carmen Panaro and Christopher Guzaldo were walked back to back. Nick Paszt singled to left field, advancing Panaro and Guzaldo and loading the bases. After a pitching change by the Muckdogs, Panaro scored on a wild pitch, while Guzaldo and Paszt advanced to second and third bases, respectively.

Americans shortstop Connor Kiefer was intentionally walked by the Batavia pitcher, loading the bases back up for Grant Moore, who singled to left field, driving Guzaldo and Paszt in for the third and fourth runs for the Americans.
