The Auburn Doubledays scored more runs in the first inning than they’d need to win the game Thursday night against the Niagara Falls Americans. But they didn’t stop there.

After a four-run first inning, the team from Auburn scored another six runs in the fourth inning and one more in the sixth for 11 runs overall. The Americans, meanwhile, mustered just two runs in the third inning.

You can’t win ’em all.

But the Americans will try again on Friday vs. the Geneva Red Wings in Geneva. Saturday, they return to the Barber Shop for a doubleheader against the Elmira Pioneers.

All WNY is a proud sponsor of the Niagara Falls Americans.
