Hello Metalheads! This John back with another EP review, this time from the band Entity of Chaos. They released their EP Spectral Echoes on June 14, 2025.
Entity of Chaos made quite a mark in this offering. They have this really nice blend of thrash, black metal, death metal and even melodic death metal to their sound. There are very few passages where the tempo dips at all across this EP. The pulse pounding blast beats and thrash grooves are nonstop and neither does my headbanging when I listen!
My favorite track is the opener and title track Spectral Echoes. This is the one exception of the tempo dipping during the guitar solo, but it makes the guitar solo that much more impactful. The main riff that opens this album is a fantastic frantic riff that really sets the tone for the entire 17 minutes of this EP. The second major section of the track is this almost black metal riff with ringing chords but the drummer and bass player keep the tempo up the entire time!
Entity of Chaos really delivered. I would give this a 8/10 on my EP scale with ease. Fans of death and thrash metal will absolutely love this album. As always don’t forget to listen and even buy this EP! Links to their streaming and social media will be provided below.
