Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announces that three 17-year-old males from Buffalo were sentenced yesterday morning before Youth Part Judge Brenda Freedman to 6 months of incarceration followed by 5 years of probation. All three adolescent offenders were adjudicated as youthful offenders.

The victim was repeatedly punched and kicked by multiple suspects during the attack. The victim, a 15-year-old male, was taken by ambulance to Oishei Children’s Hospital where he was hospitalized for several days to receive treatment for the physical injuries.

All three adolescent offenders pleaded guilty to one count of Assault in the Second Degree (Class “D” violent felony) on March 20, 2025. As part of the sentencing proceeding, final orders of protection were issued on behalf of the victim, his parent, and several witnesses, which remain in effect until June 2033.

DA Keane commends the Buffalo Police Department for their work in this investigation.
