The Niagara Falls Americans scored early and often en route to victory of the Newark Pilots in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.

The Americans struck first, scoring three runs in the second inning at Sal Maglie Stadium. They tallied two more runs in the third. And although that was all the runs they would need, they didn’t stop there.

The hometown team crossed the plate again in the fifth inning and then did it five more times in the seventh.

For their part, the Pilots scored a run in the third, two in the sixth and one more in the ninth.

Final score: 11-4.

The Americans take on the Batavia Muckdogs in Batavia on Thursday before hosting the Muckdogs for fireworks night on Friday.

All WNY is a proud sponsor of the Niagara Falls Americans.
