The Niagara Falls Americans and Elmira Pioneers split a doubleheader Sunday afternoon at Sal Maglie Stadium.
Elmira took the first game, 3-0 thanks to a pair of RBIs by Cooper Smith and another by Michael Palmer.
The Americans took the second game of the day, 7-6, bolstered by a five-run first inning. They also scored a run in the second inning and another in the fourth.
The Pioneers, meanwhile, scored a pair of runs in the second inning, a run in the fifth, two more in the sixth and their final in the seventh.
After a day off, the Americans return to action on Tuesday, hosting the Newark Pilots.
