Acting Buffalo Mayor Chris Scanlon has decided to end his bid for the 2025 mayoral election, filing paperwork to remove himself from the November election.
Scanlon lost the Democratic primary for mayor on Tuesday but still maintained a line on his own independent party, the “Good Neighbors Party.”
There was speculation that Scanlon may do just that as he had not commented on the general election during his concession speech on Tuesday.
Scanlon also posted on X that he would forgo the November ballot line.
