
The Buffalo Police Department announced that an arrest was made Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in connection with a string of burglaries that occurred in January and February in the central district.
The cases were investigated by B district detectives, who were able to identify the same suspect in the following incidents:
- Tuesday, January 14, 2025 on the 600 block of Delaware Avenue
- Friday, January 17, 2025 on the 600 block of Delaware Avenue
- Thursday, February 6, 2025 on the 200 block of North Street
- Monday, February 10, 2025 on the 300 block of Summer Street
- Tuesday, February 11, 2025 on the 100 block of North Street
For his alleged role in these five incidents, Ricardo Ayala, 54, of Buffalo has been charged two counts NYS PL 140.25-2, Burglary in the Second Degree, a class C felony; one count NYS PL 140.20, Burglary in the Third Degree, a class D felony; one count NYS PL 165.50, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree, a class D felony; two counts NYS PL 155.30-1, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; one count NYS PL 165.45-1, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; one count NYS PL 165.40, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree, a class A misdemeanor; one count NYS PL 145.00-1, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a class A misdemeanor; one count NYS PL 155.25, Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor; and one count NYS PL 140.35, Possession of Burglar Tools, a class A misdemeanor.
Detectives were able to recover approximately $7,000 in stolen items. An investigation into additional incidents in the area is ongoing. Further charges may be filed.
