The Niagara County Board of Elections reports that early voting is up significantly for this year’s presidential election compared to 2020.

According to a release from the BOE, 8,557 people voted in the first two days of early voting (Saturday and Sunday), more than double the 3,925 who voted the first two days of early voting in 2020. The Board of Elections plan to release early voting totals daily, according to the release.

In total, 20,533 Niagara County residents voted early in 2020.

Early voting continues at five sites in Niagara County through Nov. 3.
