Hello Metalheads! This is John back with another album review! Sidian released their debut full length album called Where Our Silence Comes To Die on December 26th, 2025!
This album was brought to my attention by one of the members of Sidian and I’m glad they reached out. I really enjoyed listening to this again and again over the last few weeks. It really took me quite a while to figure out exactly I wanted to say about this proggy, technical blend of death metal.
So as soon as this albums started I noticed the vocals, they sound a lot like Jonathon Carpenter with their own spin. I also noticed the heavy presence of bass in the mix that rips. The last thing I instantly grabbed right onto was the crazy amount of riffs and how they are put together cohesively.
Two tracks have stood out to me over the last couple of weeks in a big way. My favorite of the two is the title track(Where Our Silence Comes to Die). It’s so heavy, fast but also has a ridiculous part at 1:26 that just stops and breakdown for 20 seconds before ramping up the speed again. The other track that stands out is Flickering Under a Delicate Thread. This one sticks out because of how proggy it is.
So overall I am very comfortable giving Where Our Silence Comes to Die and easy 9.5/10 on my personal scale. Once again I am so glad one of the members from Sidian reached out to show this to me. Links to socials and streaming are below! Go check this album out if and buy it if you love it like me!
