Hello Metalheads! This is John back with another album review! This time I am covering the almighty Archspire and their new album Too Fast To Die which released in April 10, 2025.
So right off the bat, Archspire are one of those bands that I really enjoy listening to a bunch of times a year. They’re not really in my monthly rotation, but when I do listen, I dive into their whole discography at a time. They really have this over the top style to their technical death metal corner of the subgenre that their fans love. As their new album title suggests, they like to go fast, ALL the time. Very rarely do they slow the tempo down and let their listeners breath.
This new album has some changes to it, that I really enjoy and will probably make this album be a bigger part of my rotation than their previous offerings. They really added some serious melodic hooks and riffs that keep me wanting more. The first track Liminal Cypher really brings this more prominent melodic attribute to the surface. All of this being said, Archspire still have their caveman riffs, batshit crazy fast tempos and downright rapping harsh vocals that their fans expect. I would say Oliver is so fast with his vocals that it would make many rappers jealous of his speed!
So overall I would give Too Fast To Die a 9.5/10 on my personal rankig scale. Archspire have dropped a ridiculous album and I will be listening to it a lot going forward. So as always if you enjoy this music stream it, follow them on social media and even buy their stuff! Links will be below!
