LOCKPORT – Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti announces the arrest of 22-year-old, Manuel Gerson Castro-Cabrera, a native of El Salvador, after an investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau into a domestic disturbance.
As a result of the investigation, Castro-Cabrera was charged with one count of Assault 2nd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th, one count of Resisting Arrest and one count of Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd. Castro-Cabrera is being held at the Niagara County Correctional Facility on the above criminal charges.
Additionally, a Department of Homeland Security Immigration Detainer was placed on Castro-Cabrera by United States Border Patrol for being in the country unlawfully.
