
LOCKPORT – Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti announces the arrest of 39-year-old Jonathan T. Reid of Lockport following a traffic stop on October 30th, 2025. At approximately 9:10 PM, Niagara County Sheriff’s Office patrol observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Lincoln Avenue that had driven onto the shoulder and was found to have a license plate violation. During the stop, deputies noted signs of intoxication from the driver, later identified as Reid.
A 9-year-old child was also present in the vehicle. Reid was arrested and transported to NCSO where he submitted to a chemical breath test that resulted in a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.12%. Reid is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – Leandra’s Law (Felony), Operating a Motor Vehicle above .08% B.A.C. (Misdemeanor), Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Misdemeanor), and other VTL Infractions. The juvenile passenger was turned over to family. Reid was remanded to the Niagara County Correctional Facility while he awaits centralized arraignment.
