SARDINIA – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia announces the arrest of Kierian Phalen, 35 of Sardinia, after an investigation by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Intelligence Unit.

At approximately 4 p.m. on October 27th, deputies executed a search warrant signed by Hon. Suzanne Maxwell Barnes of Erie County Court for 10240 S. Protection Rd. in Sardinia. Phalen was located in the driveway of the address, where metal knuckles were recovered from his person. During the execution of the search warrant, deputies recovered a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, D-Amphetamine, a digital scale, a plastic container and a glass vial container. After being placed in a patrol vehicle, Phalen attempted to break off his handcuffs using a metal partition in the vehicle, causing damage to both the handcuffs and the metal partition. Phalen has been charged with:

  • 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • 4th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • 4th degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon
  • 7th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • 2nd degree Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia
  • 4th degree Criminal Mischief
  • 3rd degree Attempted Escape

Phalen was transported to the Erie County Holding Center to be held pending arraignment.
