NEWFANE – Town Supervisor John Syracuse is pleased to announce that the official ribbon cutting ceremony for Harper’s Dog Park at the Town of Newfane will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

The long-awaited Harper’s Dog Park is located slightly north of the intersection of Maple and Ketchum Avenues in the Town of Newfane. The new park offers a safe and enjoyable space for dogs and their owners to gather, play, and exercise. Street parking will be available for those attending the event.

This project represents another great step forward for our community. Harper’s Dog Park has been a goal for quite some time, and we’re excited to officially open a space where residents and their four-legged friends can enjoy the outdoors together. This will also be a great time to meet the young lady, Sadie Gunby, who inspired this project. The Town wishes to thank the Recovery Center of Niagara for the use of their land, Woodsmith Fence Co, for their donation of fencing and the Grigg-Lewis Foundation.

Community members, local officials, and pet owners are invited to attend the ceremony and take part in celebrating this exciting addition to the Town of Newfane.
