
The Buffalo Police Department announced an arrest was made in connection with multiple burglaries of business in September.
On Monday, Sept. 15, Palli Supermarket on Bailey Avenue reported that overnight, an unknown suspect broke a glass door with a rock to gain entry and while inside took 2 receipt printers, 2 cash register boxes, and approximately $5,000 in cash.
On Saturday, Sept. 20, Gino and Joe’s NY Pizza on Main Street reported that overnight an unknown suspect forcefully entered the restaurant and took 2 cash registers and approximately $1,000 in cash.
On Tuesday, Sept. 23, Dominos on Broadway reported that overnight, an unknown suspect broke a glass door to gain entry and while inside took a cash register and approximately $200 in cash.
On Sunday, Sept. 28, Buffalo Fresh on Broadway reported that overnight an unknown suspect broke a glass window with a rock to gain entry and while inside took 3 cash registers, a shopping cart, and approximately $600 in cash.
On Monday, Sept. 29, Dominos on Broadway again reported that overnight an unknown suspect forcefully gained entry and while inside took a cash register.
Detectives on the case were able to identify and confirm the same suspect was wanted for multiple burglaries. The suspect was apprehended on Oct. 3, 2025. Multiple empty cash registers were recovered.
For his alleged role in these five burglaries, Richard Bowden, 62, of Buffalo has been charged with five counts NYS PL 140.20, Burglary in the Third Degree, a class D felony; one count NYS PL 155.35-1, Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class D felony; four counts NYS PL 145.05-2, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class E felony; one count NYS PL 155.30-1, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; one count NYS PL 145.00-1, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a class A misdemeanor; and three counts NYS PL 155.25, Petit Larceny.
Further charges may be forthcoming as the investigation remains active.
