The post began, “The Buffalo Police Department reminds residents to take a few simple steps to keep your vehicle and belongings safe.”
The tips included:
- Never leave your keys or other valuables in your vehicle
- Always lock your car doors and close your windows
- Park in well lit areas when possible
- Never leave your vehicle running unattended
The post concluded with “If you see anything suspicious, call 911 immediately.”
