Most Rev. Michael W. Fisher, the 15th Bishop of Buffalo, released a statement this afternoon in response to the shooting at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis earlier today.
“Our hearts ache, and we are justly outraged by the unconscionable violence suffered by children and their families this morning at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis,” The Bishop said. “At a time that should be an occasion of joy and wonderful expectation in all that a new school year represents, an act of evil has marred the experience of these young souls and their educators, forever altering their sense of security. We appeal to our loving God to comfort all who have been affected by this horrific violence, to heal their physical and emotional wounds, and to bring peace to that community.”
